VALERIO BISPURI
Italian, b. 1971
Born in Rome in 1971, Valerio Bispuri is a professional reporter and has collaborated with many Italian and international magazines. He has worked all around the world, but most of the time in South America, where he has realized two greatly awarded photographic books, “Encerrados” (on the life conditions in 74 prisons) and “Paco”, that denounces the effects of this low-cost drug which is killing the youths in the suburbs of great Latin American cities. He has also published the awarded book “Prigionieri”, a work dedicated to the Italian prisons, and “Dentro una storia” – Appunti sulla Fotografia”. When is not abroad for a new project, he lives and works in Rome.
